Chief Growth Officer
Charles joined the High Impact team fall of 2022 and serves as the Chief Growth Officer.
Charles’s career started in 2010 at Walmart. During his 12-year career there he was able to learn and grow through various roles starting with Merchandising. Trained in the Merchant Leadership Program in the Pet Department Charles quickly gained a broad perspective from direct-import ladder plans for holiday pet outfits to the high-cube, high-velocity turns of Dog Food. His love for effective data utilization deepened as he joined the Hair Care category as the financial planner before taking on his first buying role in the Over the Counter (OTC) department. During his time in OTC Charles bought Durable Medical Equipment, First Aid, Braces & Heating Pads, Incontinence, Diabetic Care, Adult Nutrition, Pediatrics and Vitamins.
His passion for helping others, using data effectively and stewarding customer trust led to significant category growth and the Buyer of the Year award. From buying Charles was asked to Product Management for the Digital Merchant Product team launching Flight Deck and several other tools used by the entire merchandising org. His last role with Walmart started as a special assignment from the EC, charged with developing and launching the data monetization arm of Walmart US, Data Ventures and its first product to market, Walmart Luminate. After growing up in St. Louis, Missouri, Charles graduated from John Brown University Spring of 2010 with a double major in Business Administration and Leadership and Management.
Charles lives in Bentonville, Arkansas with his wife, Susan. They have three children and three dogs. In his free time, he enjoys mountain biking, leading his cell group of boys, and overlanding.
